Possible PCOS diagnosis. Does this affect an Insurance company's decision?

Through my teenage and adult years(so far) I have had irregular cycles and sometimes no period at all. I was just told I may have PCOS. After reading up on it, the symptoms feel very similar and familiar to me. My fear is will I be denied due to the syndrome, or will I still be able to have surgery?
