I am making Lasagna Roll ups seen on Rachel Raey's 30 minute meals
Hi, I am making lasagna roll ups for dinner tonight. I have adapted the recipe after seeing it on 30 minute meals on food tv (I love that show). I was wondering, if I gave the recipe, if someone could give me an approximate protein count. So here goes... I made the filling with chopped mushroom stems, chopped garlic, ground low fat sausage, ricotta cheese (part skim), mozarella cheese, and chopped spinach(for extra iron, I am anemic), as well as pepper and Italian seasoning for added flavor (a touch of salt too, but I really don't use a lot of it, since I have never been a big salt fan, and I want to keep my sodium down as well {makes it easy since I don't really like overly salty foods}. I will cook the lasagna noodles, then fill with the mixture, roll and top with a gargonzola cheese sause (made with chicken stock, half and half, and gargonzola cheese) and then broil quickly after topping with a tad more mozarella cheese. I am trying to up the protein intake. The ricotta cheese alone has 8grms per serving and I thought with adding the sausage, and gargonzola cheese sauce that it would up it a little more. I used half and half instead of heavy whipping cream to lower the fat intake. I was wondering if anyone could give me an approximate protein count on this recipe. I normally eat tons of fish (mainly shrimp and scallops) and chicken to keep my protein levels up, but my daughter wants pasta tonight, so I though I would try this. Any ideas???
