Has anyone used headphones during surgery...

to listen to soothing music/sounds? I have heard that some people use hypnosis prior to surgery to help aid in the healing process, but I was wondering if anyone had tried anything else, and if so.... what? I'm having an open rny on 8/6/02 and am trying to get all info together. Thanks!
