How can I get my psych eval done before my consult?

I have a consult scheduled for 2/14/01. My surgeon says I can have a psych eval done before that and can have my PCP ask for pre-certification. Can I go to a psychologist or does it have to be a psychiatrist? How do I go about finding one who knows what they are doing for WLS evaluations?
