Did anyone else take offense to Shallow Hal

I am 4 months post op and have lost 70 lbs. I am currently 150. I saw Shallow Hal the other night and didn't really find it amusing. I thought it was mean. They say that it says that it is important to look to the inside of the person but I don't think that is the true message NOw that I have lost weight people treat me differently and it upsets me .. how do you deal with this?
