Water Sol. Vitamins

I have been hearing about vitamins and i'm confused!! My consolt. with surgeon is Sept 27th. I want to order what I need for after surgery to have on hand. The on site web place some of you sent me does not tell us how much we should order or what. Should I order the protein now and how much will I need? and how do you know its water sol. vitimans and protein products...my head is swimming..thanks Jacki
