What if I am sick before surgery?

Hi: I am getting sick...surgery is next week. What will happen? I am scheduled for surgery a week from today. I am getting sick!! Right know it is a cold, but my colds always turn into sinus infections, or bronchitis. I did go to my PCP today and got a prescrip for z-pack - antibiotic. What do surgeons do if you are sick? How sick till they cancel your surgery? I go Monday for pre-op testings, I hope I start getting better. I'm all upset know, cause if it gets canceled, another wait! What have others done?
