My incision is not a straight line it goes to the right..is this common?

I had my open Rny surgery on 6/26/00 and have been recovering good. My husband is concerned about thie fact that my incision starts in the middle and slowly moves right. My husband was wondering if this is normal do they need to be more to the right at the bottom? Or does my doctor cut like I do and should have had a ruler ;} I am going to ask my doc about it but I do not see him for two more weeks. Thank You and sorry if I sound like a nut
