WHy are all the protein bars I tried soooo overly sweet?

I do like detour bars, they are sweet but are meant to taste like candy. I tried about 12 different brands now and after one bite the sweetness turns my tummy. The atkins were the worst! Any suggestions? Are there crunchy bars out there? I think the coatings are the problem. Wendy
