A QUESTION FOR

I would like to have the BPD/DS and my insurance is Anthem BCBS (PPO). Previously they didn't approve for the DS, now they are saying if ur BMI is >50 u will be approved. Mine has now hit 50 (fotunatly or unfortunatly?) Anyways, has anyone with a BMI >50 been denied for the DS ? Would i need co-morbidities or just a BMI >50? I know most of u will probably answer "CALL ANTHEM AND ASK"; but i heard that u get a better shot at approval if the doc's office sends the papers for the request FIRST. I'm afraid if i call and ask, i will be denied; then when the doc's office tries they will insist on their previous denial to me. Am i making any sence. Sorry for the headache, but i'm kinda confused. Thanx in advance to the caring ppl who answer my Qs !!!
