The woman who inspired me to have WLS made some
remarks to me today that have me a bit worried. I met her last year when she came to my work to look at a piece of equipment, she made a comment that she just lost 80 lbs and then told me about WLS. She changed my life. Well she stopped in today to see how I did. Well she said I have lost too much weight too fast, 89 lbs in 5 1/2 months. She said I must be doing something wrong since everyone she knows took at least a year to get down 90 lbs. Have I lost too fast? My labs were just done and perfect I might add, so no nutrition issues that I am aware of. She also said she can teach me how to get my body around dumping syndrome!! I want to dump on fat and sugar, built in behavior modification. WHy would I want to get around it?? Then again she claims she had cookies for breakfast and I had a protein shake. Cookies for breakfast are what made me obese in the first place. I am working really hard to get my protein and water in each day and upset when the scale doesn't move and then she makes these comments. Maybe I am wrong to let it bug me but it is. I am 24 lbs from goal and hope to reach it by my 1 year in October, as I know loss will slow down once I hit 6 months. Wendy 259/170/145
