If I diet and lose .. then Ins says I dont need wsl .. if I diet and dont lose ..

they say I would not do well with surgery because I cannot follow thru .. But yet they demand an 8mo Dr suppervised diet before approval. What's up with that? Isnt it a lose lose situation?
