Has anyone had problems or success getting the Alta Bates Med Grp to refer

I have Pacificare HMO and have my first PCP appt for Feb 3rd. I have made a huge begging letter with med/diet history and some medical articles to take along. I have been told the Alta Bates medical group are pretty open minded about referrals. HAs anyone any experience? Also, Has anyone been approved for WLS with PCOS as a comorbid? I have a BMI over 40 so I hope this doesn't matter but I want to give them as many reasons for WLS as I can.
