Post op diet similar to Atkins diet??

Can you please tell me if the post op diet that you should follow is similar to the Atkins diet- High protein/low carbohydrate? I am trying to learn as much as possible about the post op regime because I just got approved yesterday!! Yeah!:) Thanks in advance for any replies..
