What is this 'window of opportunity' that I've been hearing about?

this is in referenceto two posts from yesterday. REgarding any WLS, is there a better time for losing weight? Are you supposed to lose more in the beginning? Will you only lose a lot of weight in the first 6 months? Thanks!
