HELP ME. I was told today BCBS no longer approves WLS after 1/1/02

I have BCBS health options of Fla., and i was notified in my support meeting today that as of 1/1/02, BCBS will not approve any WLS. Does any know about this, and if you do can you be grandfathered in if you started your pre approval testing in July of this year?
