I am looking for an accurate, inexpensive scale.

I am post-op, under 300 lbs., and I'd like to spend less than 50.00 -considerably less if possible:-). Are digital scales more accurate than mechanical scales? Please recommend a particular brand or model, and where you puchased it. Thanks.
