Why is my tummy soooo hard?

From my belly button up to the top of my incision it is very hard... firm to the touch. Seems way harder than I ever remember it being before surgery. I had open RNY Jan. 11, 2001. I have lost 80 lbs. and have at least 100 more to go. From belly button down it all feels normal. I do have a hernia next to belly button but why would that make my tummy hard up higher? Could I be getting an ulcer? If something was wrong wouldn't it hurt where it is so hard? I do take prevacide so could that be "masking" an ulcer? I would appreciate any input. THANKS!
