I understand you must quit smoking for 10 days before surgery... when can you resume.

I really enjoy smoking and feel it would be to tramatic to quit eating and smoking at the same time. I understand you need to quit smoking for the 10 days before surgery, but what about after surgery? Are there any restrictions? Thank you
