Only sleeping 4 hours at a time now - how long does it last?

I assume this is one of those anasthetic side effects. I sleep off and on during the day and night, and wake up with pain in my lower abdomen that goes away as soon as I wake up and walk around. Sometimes I can get back to sleep, but usually lying down brings the pain back again. I can't go back to work until this clears up - anyone else go through this post op?
