Could someone please explain this to me. realtionship ended

My boyfriend and I of 4 years have split up. We met when I was at my heaviest and things started to go downhill after my surgery. He told me that he did not want me to get this surgery and that he misses the meek, humble fat girl he used to have. He has even told me that I need $45,000 more dollars done to have my body fixed. Can someone please tell me where I went wrong. I am very happy with my 124lb weight loss and I figured he would be too. Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you for letting me get this out.
