Short Term Disability questions

My insurance co will pay for a tummy tuck and I will pay the balance for a LBL. Do anyone know if short term disability (Met Life) will pay since the LBL is considered cosmetic? They did pay 66% of my salary when I had WLS, but I don't know how this works for reconstructive and/or cosmetic procedures. Does anyone know? If a tummy tuck requires me to miss work for 2 weeks, but the LBL for 6 weeks, will Met Life cover the longer recovery time? Thanks!
