Eating at one year post op. repost by amos mod
Theres a tech glitch that takes this members question back to that perennial favorite blood pressure question thats a system problem so I am posting this for the member
I feel I can eat alot for one year post op...
I am one year post op (open rny). I have noticed within the last month or so I can really eat a lot. Here are a few examples of items I have eaten (not together of course!): almost a whole burrito from Taco Bell (minus a few bites of tortilla), 3 homestyle chicken strips from Wendy's, a slice of cheese pizza from Sbarro's (minus the end crust), a cup and a half of Mu Shu Chicken (chinese), a WHOLE bagel from Dunkin' Donuts (this one REALLY scared me!). I do not eat these items on a regular basis, I am just giving examples of items most people will be able to visualize. I do not get that "full" felling like I had been. I am wondering if this is too much or normal for this far out? I believe I was transected, but I am not 100% sure. I was a self pay for the surgery (I have insurance, but it would not cover it) so any follow up testing will also be self pay. I just wanted some opinions...thank you! Keri (357/219/175) - KAC in CT
