Does every 3 months sound right?

My PCP says I only need to see him every 3 months while I am seeing my dietician for the physician approved diet for Aetna. I am seeing the dietician each month and getting weighed in and all. Does the 3 month PCP visit sound right to you? I really don't want to get this 6 months done and have Aetna mess it all up again. Thanks!
