did anyone smoke before surgery? how long before, and did you want to smoke at all?

I stopped smoking on January 7th 2003. Although I feel like I want to smoke I haven't broken down. Every time I go to the hospital they ask me if I stopped smoking and it is driving me crazy! I want a cigarette, but I can't and it is making me extra, extra nervous and anxious! Please Help me...
