Has anyone had a NAGB revised to a VBG????

I have a NAGB which was placed in 1985 by Dr. Marcel Molina and of course I have regained all of the weight. I am seeking a VBG...at this point I'm just not ready to consider a gastric bypass. Has anyone had this type of revision??? I spoke with one surgeon and he sure wasn't very positive. He went on and on about how "high risk" I would be...he didn't say he would not do it but he sure sounded like he really did not want to. I'm still waiting for insurance approval. I've read so much on this board about revisions...I was just really "taken back" by his attitude. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Kim
