Does everyone experience hair loss?

Does everyone experience hair loss or do only a percentage of people have to deal with this? There's been alot of talk on this site about hair loss and it just seems like MOST lose alot of hair. This would never be a deal-breaker that stops me from getting surgery, but I have very long hair (to my waist) and will not want to cut it post-op. Just trying to mentally prepare and hoping I have a chance of not losing my hair, I guess.
