Has anyone who did not have ulcers pre-op get one post-op?

I am a little over 3 weeks post-op lap rny. I was having pain and my doctor ordered an upper GI. He said that I have an ulcer. How can this be if there is no acid in the new pouch. Has anyone else experienced this?
