Does insurance cover panniculectomy if performed by a different surgeon?

I had my RNY performed by a wonderfully skilled bariatric surgeon. He also does the follow up procedure (Panni + hernia repair). While excellant at the RNY, a plastic surgeon he is not. I met with a girl who had his Panni procedure at it looked terrible (large dent, no belly button). I have been approved by my insurance for the Panni to be performed by this surgeon, but now I can't help but wonder if a "real" plastic surgeon would do a better job. Since I have already been approved by Tricare, perhaps they could just cancel the authorization for this surgeon and I can attempt approval for another surgeon. Also, does anyone know if a regualr platic surgeon can do my hernia repair while he is already in there? Poppy
