Does anyone know of a doctor that accepts Medicaid in the NY area?

I don't have Medicaid yet but I think I can get it becasue I had back surgery last year and they helped me out. Any advice you can give with be greatly appreciated. Any advice about getting Medicaid? Should I try to get it before I see a doctor or after? PLEASE HELP!!!
