should I used my husband insurance alone?

I change surgeon and the one I want to see doesn't take my insurance (BC/BS PPO) he take GHI. My husband have me in his insurance (GHI), my question is can I use his insurance alone or do I have to give both insurance? I'm not quite sure how this things work.
