Has anyone suffered

I am 18 months post-op. At about 4 months out, I started having pain around my lower rib cage. It came and went and it wasn't that bad at first. It has gotten progressively worse and is almost constant now. I am taking two oxicontrins and 600 mg of neurontin a day to control the pain. The pain is right around where the bottom of a bra would go and when it gets bad, I tear mine off no matter where I am it hurts that bad. I have seen a rheumatologist and she is convinced it is neuralgic in nature. I had a bone density test and a bone scan and they bone came back normal. I saw a neurologist who is a bit stymied. He'd like to do an MRI but I can't have one right now because I have metal in my body. I'm wondering if I could have suffered nerve damage at the top of my incision. Someone suggested adhesions... someone else suggested post hepatic neuralgia (post shingles which I did have 24 years ago). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and welcomed. This is extremely painful and I'm taking too darn many pain killers just to make it through the day. Thanks for your help.
