anti inflammatories

Are there any anti inflammatories that we can take? I am 2+ years post op. I have developed carpal tunnel due to my job and because I don't know any anti inflammatories that I can take, the doctor I saw would only prescribe me darvocet for the pain. I emailed my surgeon, but being the weekend, I don't expect to hear back from him until Monday. I have to make an appointment with the hand surgeon and I want to be able to tell him/her a medication that can be prescribed. Thanks everyone!! Have a Sparkling Day!! ~CAE~
