Anyone get irritable bowel after having surgery?

I've been struggling with a terrible burning pain in my abdomen and low back since my surgery 2 years ago. The pain is somewhat relieved by taking Zelnorm, which is a medication for irritable bowel disease. Has anyone had any type of ongoing bowel problem (but not obstructions) since their gastric bypass? I'd love to hear your story.
