Has anyone had an iron infusion?If so did it correct the problem?

I had an iron infusion. I am almost 2yrs post op. I was wondering if it corrected the problem. I am hoping I won't need another. I take my vitamins everyday. I also take iron. The doctor said I was serverely anemic.
