Can I expect my skin to clear post-op?

When I was a teen I never had more than a songle pimple at a time. Now though I am expeiencing constant acne. It gets worse around my time of the month but is still there throughout the rest of the month. What are the chances it will clear after surgery and what is causing me to have it now?
