Do we need different antibiotics or dosages?

I am 7 wks postop open rny 150cm bypassed and still having some trouble from my incision with drainage. I have developed a redness around the center of my stomach about the size of a pancake. No temp but it is tender. Called my surgeon who is in out of town so went to pcp. She prescribed liquid keflex but it doesn't seem to be helping. Does anyone know if malabsorbtion could cause us to need stronger antibiotics or perhaps in a different form? PCP don't seem to have a lot of knowledge about US and treat us as other patients. I am so tired of wearing gauze on my belly and the drainage. It is serous fluid but is so annoying. The possible infection is in another area of the incision. Anyone with info on antibiotics please help.
