If you rupture the staples in your stomach,would you be able to tell?

I was horrid & ate a small piece of pizza last night but not the crust. I was carefull to take small bites & chew well...it took me nearly a half hour to finish it. Now I am worried that it may have been too much food for my tiny pouch & I may have caused damage. Would I be in pain if something was wrong or could a ruptured staple line go un noticed?
