I've been told many times bcbs is getting very strict on paperwork

I have my first appt Sept 15 with the surgeon and I already have all my information for the insurance. I wanted to know should I also included other items such as my quickweight loss profile from 95, copies of medications, my own personal letter and etc . Everyone keeps telling me bcbs have gotten really tough and you have to have more than what is needed to get approval. I'm trying my best to get approved on the first try if possible.
