Anyone have a dermoid cyst removed at the same time?

I am going through all of the preop screening and my pelvic ultrasound showed that I have a 7 cm dermoid cyst by my ovary. My Gyn wants to remove it and thinks I should have the surgery sooner than later. I don't want to have surgery twice and I don't want to have this surgery jeapordize getting RNY. Did anyone have any cysts removed during their operation? This one is kind of "far" from the RNY site. Please let me know if you have any thoughts, advice.
