Taking care of kids after surgery

I would like to know how did the post op's take care of their kids after surgery? I have a 1 year old, and my husband has to work from 7-3p. I know you're not supposed to lift anything to heavy after surgery, and she's 31 pounds. I don't have any family or friends that could help with babysitting. My husband works Mon-Fri, so I stay home during the week with my daughter,and he watches her on the weekends when I work. Any suggestions on how to take care of her without having to hold her? Im sure someone has an answer. My daughter is very clingy,and is used of being held. Im worried she'll try to jump in my lap, or crawl on me and hurt my incsion. Im wating for approval from insurance company. please help!
