I am 2w3d post op and have bad heartburn

I take the prescribed Pepcid 40 mg nightly, but i am still getting really bad heartburn. My diet is puree and I haven't really had much spices or anything that I would think would trigger it. No caffience. I drink mostly water and since I am tolerating dairy Ok have started having milk at night to try to help. I have had about 5 episodes of vomitting (eyes bigger than pouch, i suppose) and that of course makes it worse. Any ideas, is it normal healing, should I check with the dr.??? Thanks
