Ever heard of a person's body rejecting internal staples due to metal allergy?

When I wear jewelry (other than gold)it causes a major iritation within a couple of hours. I am scheduled for RNY distal in 12 days and I fear that my body may reject the staples that transect by stomach. Has anyone ever heard of this happening?
