Went in for 2wk followup and was in trouble by doctor. I don't understand?

After 2 wks I've lost 17lbs. More than I'd ever dream of. When I saw my doctor he didn't look at my incision or ask how I was feeling he simply said "what did you eat that you weren't suppose to". I said nothing really. But he didn't think I should have had potatoes. I started talking about some issues I was having and he said it was too early for food issues. So he is sending me to a psychatrist and put me on pureed veggies and fruit for a month. I'm suppose to go to pureed and gradually increas to full solid over the next two wks. Then he went on to say how he sorry my child hood was so bad but it was no exuse. I never blame my weight on that. I just don't know what to think. Any idea. I can't do the veggies and fruit thing. I'm a meat eater. Help.
