Help!!! I think I was pregnant during surgery

OK, this is sort of embarrassing but need some really good advise right now. I think I may have been pregnant during surgery and had a miscarriage after because I had discharging brown blood from the vagina. I took 2 pregnancy test from the DR office which was required to have surgery done but both came out negative. What I want to know Is it possible to have blood come out from the vagina as a result from the surgery?
