Has anyone been told they may have brain swelling?

I went to my surgeons appointment and has a bunch of questions about headaches and ringing in the ears. He told me I may have brain swelling and that was a comorbity. Of course he had a big technical name for it and I cant remember. Has anyone been told this? If so, do you have more info on it. I am kinda worried about it but I dont thin the surgeon was.
