Will I need a plastic surgeon or can my regular surgeon do this?

I have a hernia in my c-section scar and I'm wanting to have this repaired when i have my Lap RNY. I would like to have some of that extra skin removed with the hernia repair because my hubby refuses to pay my out of pocket expense again for a second surgery if its not necessary. I need to have all I can done during this first surgery. Will I need a plastic surgeon present during my LAP to do this or can my regular surgeon do the entire process?
