Surgical glue and showering
I am 5 days post op from my revision. My doctor used surgical glue on theincision this time and no staples! It is so much more comfortable. First time around, my incision drained and was open for 4 mos then formed a big keloid scar. My scar is thin now and no drainage at all! I forgot to ask about care of it this time. Can anybody help me? I just asked if I could take a shower and doctor said yes but with my back facing the water. Does that mean I can't get it wet at all? Last time I was allowed to let the water run down the incision and just dry it off afterwards. I am afraid I will make the glue un stick. Don't want that. Does it just go away on it's own? Do the internal sutures wither away? Please if anyone knows, let me know. Thanks! Oh, and yes, transected pouches do feel differently. They get full easier! Right now I am clear liquids still.
