Nyle care verse Medicare

My insurance right now is nylcare, however Dr. roll is out of network and they are fighting me on approval to see him, they have said that even if they approve the office visit they would not approve the surgery, as of March 1 I will be eligable for Medicare, would it be better and easier to wait till march to see the doctor and get the surgery approved through medicare????
