Everything I'm eating suddenly is making me sick --or I'm sick of it!
I had RNY nearly 7 weeks ago, and I'm on pureed/soft foods for one more week. Suddenly there seems to be no protein source (except shakes) that I can eat. They all seem to give me a severe reaction of some sort, except for chili w/o beans, and I'm getting sick of that. Cheese causes constipation, peanut butter causes sugar dumping, and everything else swells in my pouch and then I have pain (feels like it is coming from my stoma) for the next half hour. I've had this reaction to salmon, liverwurst, lean ham, eggs and chicken. I'm tempted to stick to fruit and vegetables and get my protein from my shakes (and to drink an extra shake each day). <br> I'll be seeing my surgeon Wednesday and mentioning this to him. Meanwhile, is this a solution others have chosen? What do your surgeons say?
